Two Airbus H145 helicopters used for liquefied natural gas exploitation in Papua New Guinea-Noticias

Airbus Helicopters has signed a contract with ExxonMobile to supply two H145 helicopters to support the company’s Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project in Papa Nueva Guinea (PNG). This marks the first sale of Airbus Helicopters to ExxonMobil and the first sale of the aircraft in the hydrocarbon sector in the Asia-Pacific region.

The H145 is equipped with a five-bladed rotor with a bearingless system that allows the payload to be increased by 150 kg. It is optimized for hot and high altitude operation, an important consideration for your choice in this program as the environment in which it is operated is characterized by temperatures of up to 35 degrees and mountains of 1,600 meters.

The helicopters will be stationed at the Hides Gas Conditioning Plant (HGCP) in Hela Province in the highland region of Papa New Guinea and will be used to transport personnel and equipment to support project operations. PNG LNG.
