The blackjack bomber TU-160M2 flies with new engines

The TU-160M2 Blackjack Bomber flew on its powerful new Russian NK-32-02 engines. Aircraft manufacturing company United Aircraft Corporation announced yesterday (March 11) that the Russian strategic bomber had launched it.

The flight took place in Kazan, Russia and took about 2 hours. The plane reached an altitude of 6,000 meters.

The four NK-32 engines are the most powerful engines ever installed on a military aircraft, according to The Aviationist website.

The update of the TU-160 will turn it into the TU-160M2. Some of the improvements we can mention are the new engines, a glass cockpit, an update to the weapons package, etc.
