Boag 777 from TAAG
TAAG Angola Airlines resumed international commercial flights with limited scheduled flights to Portugal and Brazil, the largest intercontinental markets, on September 22, 2020. Since then, the state-owned company has seen a gradual increase in the number of passengers on its flights to Lisbon and São Paulo, departing from Luanda.
However, the company has still taken a conservative position and does not currently plan to introduce new international routes until the health situation in African destinations has stabilized.
According to the Angolan press agency, the airline today operated three weekly flights to and from Luanda for Lisbon, departing on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. and a 14-day service between Luanda and São Paulo that runs on Fridays. A dedicated Boeing 777-300 is used for both services, five of which are in the fleet.
Requirements must be met before boarding and disembarking in Angola. As of October 14, all passengers connecting at 4 de Fevereiro International Airport in Luanda must complete two recent Covid-19 test routes, one for the Local Health Agency and another for TAAG.
