The Brazilian Air Force has published pictures of the Gripen F-39 fighter flying over the federal capital Brasília on its official profile on Flickr. The flight took place on October 21st and the photos were made possible thanks to an F-5FM (Biposto) that was flying with the F-39E in the wing.

In the photos, the first Brazilian Gripen can be seen flying over the most important places in the city, such as the National Stadium, the TV Tower, the Esplanade of the Ministries and the Jk peak.

The F-39E arrived in Brasilia on October 17th and stayed in the capital until the 28th. During this time in the city, the fighter was officially unveiled on October 23 (Day of the Aviator and the Brazilian Air Force).

In addition, last Tuesday (27) there was a workshop of the Gripen fighter at ALA-1, in which information about the Gripen project was presented.

Brazil will have 36 combat units stationed at ALA-2 in Anápolis-GO. Of the 36 units, 28 will be version E (single seaters) and 8 will be version F (two seaters). The first four operational units are expected to arrive at the end of 2021.

The F-39E is currently in the Gripen Flight Test Center in the Embraer factory in Gavião Peixoto (SP).

Tests that started in Sweden are being carried out at this center. These tests guarantee your certification, in addition to studying and investing in the future Brazilian game.
