Flight QR-9901 on the morning of October 17 was referred to as the “Think Pink Flight” based on the campaign of the same name, which means “Think Pink” in Portuguese. This is the name Qatar Airways gives for actions in support of the fight against breast cancer in the month of Pink October.
This year, the airline again partnered with the Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) to run the awareness campaign highlighting the importance of early detection and control of the disease. The promotions are also supported by Hamad International Airport, Qatar Aviation Services and Qatar Duty Free.
The flight was a commemorative and special flight with only guests and local press vehicles. Those on board were given equipment kits similar to those of the company’s business class passengers in October, which are the theme of the campaign (photo above). The vegan leather sets for men and women feature a zippered breast cancer zip and the printed message: “Think pink and support the fight.”
Each kit contains products from Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio, an innovative and environmentally friendly olive oil company. Skin products include lip balm, moisturizing face mist, and anti-aging moisturizer. pink socks and eye shadow are also included.
On its Twitter profile, FlightRadar24 posted the flight tracking recording showing how the drawing was made in the sky of Qatar (wait until loading).

In addition to this promotion, all flights departing Doha and October will offer Business Class passengers the opportunity to try pink-themed treats, including pink guava and grape lemonade, as well as a variety of desserts. Passengers on all ultra long haul flights from Doha will be served a special pink afternoon tea menu with raspberry macaroons and opera cake.
“As an airline, we are inspired by the tremendous global effort to combat this disease. We hope that our breast cancer education message reaches as many people as possible, ”said the group’s CEO Akbar al Baker.
What is very interesting is the action by Qatar and the investment in converting a flight into a huge loop over the territory of your country.
