Qatar Airways introduced its first line of fully vegan dishes on the menu for Business Class passengers on all flights. The menu is designed to meet the growing demand for plant-based foods while enhancing the dining experience for passengers traveling on the award-winning airline.
Vegan dishes use only fresh ingredients of local and international origin and are available to all Business Class passengers departing from the Doha hub and flying to Qatar on selected flights.
Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways Group, said: “We are always committed to providing our customers with authentic experiences in the sky. We are pleased to add a vegan main course option to our on-board menu, which gives our passengers an additional option. “
The vegan offer from Qatar Airways includes smoked moutabel, spiral zucchini and arrabbiata sauce, tofu and spinach tortellini, Asian tofu, noodles, chives and shitake, fried tofu with vegetable tagine, cauliflower couscous and wheat flour omelette Schnabel.
The airline also offers a wide range of special meals for different dietary needs. Passengers can request a special meal up to 24 hours before the flight. This includes baby meals, vegetarian or religious meals, and medicinal or healthy meals.
The national airline of the state of Qatar now offers more than 650 weekly flights to more than 90 destinations.
