The Indian Air Force received the second batch of Dassault Rafale fighters. A total of three French-made fighters have been shipped that arrived in India yesterday (11/04).

The fighters were accompanied on part of the route by a Stratotanker tanker of the French Air Force Boeing C-135FR.

During the transfer between France and India, the plane landed at an air force base in the United Arab Emirates.

The delivered fighters were also supported by an Ilyushin Il-78MKI tanker of the Indian Air Force during the last part of the transfer between the two continents.

In April 2021, the 17 Golden Arrows Squadron should be equipped with at least 18 Rafales. However, more Rafales combat units will arrive as the Indian order is 36 units.
