Aviation brought taxes of R $ 32.6 billion and 1.4 million jobs in 2019

Brazilian aviation contributed R $ 32.6 billion to taxes last year, equivalent to 1.3% of the country’s revenue. 1.4 million jobs were created (1.6% of total sales). Paying salaries of R $ 42.9 billion (1.7% of total wages).

The above data is published by the Brazilian Aviation Association (ABEAR) Panorama 2019, a series of data and analysis of the aviation sector published on the ABEAR website. According to the survey, aviation generated added value of R $ 103.4 billion for the economy or 1.4% of the gross domestic product (GDP).

The ongoing commitment of Brazilian airlines to reduce fuel consumption and the resulting CO2 emissions is also highlighted in this eighth edition of Panorama.

The publication also brings various improvements to measure the quality of the services provided, such as the already traditional punctuality of national aviation, a testament to the continuous efficiency gains of the sector, as well as various data and studies showing the importance and relevance of aviation for the aviation occupy the economy and development of the country.

It is important to highlight that this edition represents the latest annual data and analysis of the sector produced by ABEAR prior to the severe impact of the new coronavirus pandemic.
